The Hierophant

Invoking the gods, he prays skyclad, and is standing on the edge of a sea of grass. His hands are extended outward, away from himself, receiving from the universe, his head is bowed in supplication.

From his arms emits the fire of faith, the manifestation of his power, and a visualization of his connection to the divine. His feet touch the earth, his arms reach to the sky. Grounding, grounded he is connected to all. Around him is the halo of divinity, indicating his wisdom, and power.

He has been called the Pope, the High Priest, Pontiff, the all Father, and the Great Leader, which he symbolizes. He is the power of orthodox, conformist, and accepted tradition, as the High Priestess is the personification of personal truth and arcane mysteries.

He is the prince of ritual, and ridged intolerance to the freedom of form. He symbolizes all things that are righteous and holy on this plane. As such, he is the channel of divine grace belonging to the reality of convention as distinct from that of the Natural, he is not one with the world around him, but is in fact above it, and he is the director of deliverance for the human race at large. He is the head of the recognized hierarchy, which is the reflection of another and greater hierarchic order of the gods, and spirits; however he may be overcome by his symbolic position, and behave as if is not a representation of the pinnacle, but in fact is the true embodiment of the divine on earth. In fact he is but a shadow. His only power is faith, and not that of his own alone, but of all who follow him. He is the antithesis of the magician, and the high priestess, and as such, their equal.

The Hierophant: Faith in tradition and the old disciplines. A justified and ancient source of power. Being supportive, sympathetic and loyal. Receiving instructions, learning, guidance or inspiration. The ability to hear a higher or inner voice. May also indicate a religious ritual, such as a marriage, handfast, baptism, or an initiation.

No Sparkles (my bad I love them) Flames instead.
No Beaches, or forest.
No lonely tree.
No frilly skirt. No clothes at all!
No balloons.
No Wings (Hey I have made an angel or two)
No Beautiful girl (Handsome male, is that really different?)
No smudging. Honest this stock didn't need it.
No Stormy Sky
No butterflies or birds
No animals poorly crossed.
No mist filter.
No checkerboard floor.
No fairies, unicorns, or angels.
No eye macro.
No picture frames/mirror trick.
No door frame that leads to alternate reality's. (I love them, but they are manip cliches.)


I did use a filters, but only for lighting.
I tried to make the texture subtle, but failed.

If this was a cliche piece it would be a woman, over dressed, with wings, in a storm, glitter all around her, standing on a cliff over a sea... (Harsh sounding but I kind of like that idea. Hrm.)
