Richard B. Riddick Portrait by crimsonvermillion Richard B. Riddick Portrait by crimsonvermillion
A portrait of Richard B. Riddick

This is my second entry to:
WARNING THIS DOWNLOAD IS HUGE!

This is my entry to:

THE "RIDDICK RULE THE DARK FAN ART CONTEST" ("CONTEST") BEGINS AT 12:00:00 AM PACIFIC TIME ("PT") ON JULY 18, 2013 AND ENDS AT 11:59:59 PM (PT) ON AUGUST 16, 2013

This is a speed photo manipulation done while watching the Riddick Extended cut from the Riddick Trilogy Addition. LOVE THAT MOVIE. Wow. 2 hours 14 minutes of pure pleasure. I had to time it because otherwise I knew I would just fuss and fuss over a piece of fan art and I don't normally do fan art but I just LOVE Riddick and Vin D. so this was just too tempting.

Model:
Mr. Vin Diesel

Brushes
:iconredheadstock: Unrestricted splat brushes

Textures a simple texture brush.

Some lighting and some elbow grease. This is what 4 years of teaching yourself photoshop will get you. I love it but I know I need to go back to college for an art degree. I solemnly swear if I win this competition I will go back to college and get an Art Degree. Otherwise I shall keep poking at it. (I am selling my work for cd and book covers and such but I haven't made a sincere effort at going pro do to my lack of advanced training.) Oh but some of these works are SO SO SO good. Not likely. Cheers all I hope you like it too!

PS I think the poetic irony that we are making artwork of/for a character that could never likely even see or appreciate it is beautiful.

When are you going to have your work shown in an art gallery. Your stuff is amazing.

aw you are too kind. My prints are shown in small shows but art galleries? Not really their thing.
