FULL VIEW PLEASE!

Eshu is an Orisha which is a spirit that reflects one of the manifestations of Olodumare (God) in the Yoruba spiritual paradigms. He, is often worshiped as a god to himself. He protects travelers, and has dominion over roads, crossroads fortune/luck, and death.

Eshu was walking down the road one day, wearing a fantastic shimmering cloak that was red on one side and blue on the other. Sometime after he departed, the villagers who had seen him began arguing about whether the stranger's beautiful cloak was blue or red.

"NO! I saw it!" one man cried. "It was bluer than the sky at dusk!"

"Wrong! How can you be so blind?" asked an old elder woman. "My eyes are weak, but not so weak that I couldn't see that the cloak was red as the sun at dawn."

The villagers on one side of the road had only seen the blue side, and the villagers on the other side had only seen o the red half. They nearly came to blows over the argument, until Eshu came back and standing in middle of the crowd, he spun about so quickly that he appeared to be wearing a purple cloak awing them all. Thus Eshu taught the villagers about how one's perspective and bias can alter a person's perception of reality, and that ones eyes can be easily fooled.

Eshu is a male deity, however he can look like whatever he wants.
